Clawfinger’s Before We All Die proves that a long hiatus hasn’t dulled the band’s edge — if anything, it’s sharpened it. Returning after 19 years, the Swedish rap-metal pioneers deliver exactly what fans hoped for: crushing grooves, razor-sharp riffs, and outspoken social commentary wrapped in their unmistakable trademark sound.
What makes this comeback especially compelling is the production. While the album proudly retains Clawfinger’s classic fusion of aggressive rap vocals and heavy metal energy, the cleaner, punchier modern production gives the songs renewed urgency and impact.

Tracks like “Scum,” “Tear You Down,” and “Environmental Patients” hit hard both musically and lyrically, tackling political frustration and environmental collapse without losing the band’s confrontational attitude.
Rather than chasing trends, Before We All Die updates the Clawfinger formula just enough to feel contemporary while staying true to their roots. It’s a confident, relevant return that reminds listeners why the band mattered — and why they still do.
Rock Out Rating: 8/10.
