By the gods, this is a banal collection of uninspired nonsense.
It feels like the band sat down and said, “Let’s write a song that ticks every predictable modern metal checkbox and cram in whatever we think will sell because Sleep Token is popular.” The result is a track that sounds calculated rather than creative.

The guitar solo around the 2:40 mark even sounds slightly out of tune, which only adds to the sense that nobody involved was particularly invested in making this memorable. The drum fills are sparse, repetitive, and completely lacking in imagination. The lead vocal performance feels detached, as if the singer is simply going through the motions, while the lyrics fail to convey any genuine emotion or personality.
Ironically, the strongest element of the song is the bass work… and they don’t even have a bassist.
As for “The Light in My Eyes,” the only light I found was the one at the end of the tunnel when the song was finally over.
Rock Out Rating: 1/10.
